Presented in honour of Calmar physician, author, and philanthropist, Dr. Nhung Tran-Davies, this year’s catered Brunch and Learn panel celebrates to work of Asian-Canadian authors whose writing has defied convention, resisted limitation and broken the mold. These powerful stories show us the true potential of human strength and courage with eloquence that reminds us of the beauty of language.

Proceeds from this year’s brunch will go to support the Kemosa Scholarship for First Nations, Métis and Inuit Mothers Who Write. Established in 2017, The Kemosa Scholarship offers an opportunity for First Nations, Métis and Inuit Mothers to obtain resources to help them complete the work on their writing.
